– Everything for a carefree stay at Villa Carolina –
Welcome to the villa guide of Villa Carolina. To get you right into the holiday mood – and to show you what comforts the villa is equipped with – we have listed all the practical information for you. Imagine: sinking onto the couch after a dive, relaxing in the rocking chair on the veranda, or cooking extensively in a fully equipped kitchen. Make yourself at home and enjoy a carefree stay.
🌴 Arrival & Hospitality
Upon arrival at the park, you will be warmly welcomed by our local host Milly. She provides a personal tour of the villa and will be your primary point of contact during your stay. Should a personal welcome not be possible, you will find the key safely in the key safe just two meters from the front door. You will receive the access code from us in advance.
🚗 Parking & Access
On the left side of the park, you will find six parking spaces exclusively reserved for guests of Park Ayo. Via the walkway on the street side, you can easily walk to Villa Carolina. You can easily open the entrance gate with your personal code lock – the gate will then lock automatically behind you.
📶 Wi-Fi
Want to connect directly? Next to the router by the door, you will find a handy QR code: just scan it with your phone and you are online. We will also send you the login details in advance.
☀️ Climate & Ventilation
The Bonairean breeze: Enjoy the island feeling! Open the shutters during the day and enjoy the wonderful trade wind; the screens keep the mosquitoes neatly outside.
Air conditioning in the bedrooms: Clear instructions can be found right next to the device. It is highly recommended to turn this off when you leave the room!
Fans: In the en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom, a fixed wall fan provides pleasant cooling. In addition, there is a handy standing fan in the house that you can easily move to any desired spot.
🪑 Seating and relaxation areas around the villa
Whether you want to relax after a dive or enjoy a long after-dinner chat; Villa Carolina offers a nice spot for every moment:
Sunbeds: Three comfortable beige sun loungers to wonderfully enjoy the sun.
Lounge chairs: Two black chairs that you can transform into extra sunbeds in a jiffy.
Rocking chairs: Two gray rocking chairs that are ready for you as standard on the veranda.
Living room: A comfortable two-seater sofa to relax indoors.
Dining area: One dining table with four comfortable chairs.
Extra seating: In the laundry room, you will find handy, simple folding chairs for extra use.
☕ Kitchen Appliances
Coffee & Tea: A classic filter coffee machine is ready for use, and the kettle is operated with a single push of a button.
Oven & Microwave: The microwave has operating instructions on the device; the compact oven is easily operated with the rotary knob.
Cooking: The ceramic hob works with a handy touch-control system.
Dishwasher: The dishwasher is operated via the central on/off button.
Extra convenience: The kitchen is well-equipped with, among other things, a mixer, sandwich maker, and measuring cups, so you can make whatever you want.
💡 Lighting around the house
The pool lighting and park lighting turn on automatically in the evening and switch off by themselves at night. The terrace lamps of Villa Carolina operate on a light sensor and stay beautifully lit all night.
📺 Smart TV & Entertainment
Fancy a quiet evening or afternoon indoors? The Smart TV is ready to stream your favorite series via the internet (there is no traditional cable TV available).
🤿 Outdoor facilities & Diving
Bonaire is a true diving paradise, and Villa Carolina is equipped for this. A special hook hangs by the outdoor shower to rinse your gear immediately. Use the large black tub to soak your belongings in fresh water (can't find the tub? Feel free to ask Milly). After rinsing, you can hang your suits to dry on the hooks in the shady laundry room on the right side of the villa.
🧺 Laundry
In the laundry room on the right side of the villa, a washing machine is at your disposal, exclusively intended for your clothes and personal laundry. Please note: to prevent blockages and damage, the machine is not intended for sandy items or wet diving gear.
🗑️ Waste Management
The waste container is emptied every Tuesday. Place the green container on the street side on Tuesday morning before 09:00 AM.
Important tip: It is better not to put the container out the night before due to passing local donkeys. Use the special clamp/strap to keep the container securely closed; the island's garbage collectors know this system and will remove the clamp themselves before emptying the container.
🧳 Departure, late check-out, and luggage
We will send you the practical departure instructions on the day before departure. Do you have a late flight?
Late check-out: This is possible subject to availability and for a fee. Feel free to ask about the options.
Luggage storage: Do you want to continue enjoying the island after checking out? You can store your belongings free of charge and at your own risk in the poolhouse.
