The first villa is a reality! The name Villa Carolina is inspired by the former ‘Carolina’ plantation, which is located next to the ‘Ayo’ plantation in Suriname. For the Villa Carolina sign, we chose the beautiful Carolina Parakeet. This is a unique parrot species, originally from Africa, which was declared extinct worldwide in 1939. The last wild specimen was seen in the United States in 1910.
Villa Carolina was completed in July 2024. Together with the contractor, we presented it visually in 3D, and the end result is stunning. Watch the video below, our construction plans, and our vision, and see the beautiful final result (and the comparisons) for yourself.
Additional Information:

Building a beautiful project like this happens in various stages, and we encountered several challenges along the way. At the beginning, we asked ourselves: what are we getting into? But at the same time, we felt the excitement of seeing our dreams actually become a reality. From nothing more than bushes, rocks, and sand, to the beautiful Park Ayo Bonaire. Throughout the process, we took photos to take you step-by-step through the realization of the first holiday villa, Villa Carolina.

Good news: the land division has been officially approved and Villa Carolina is ready for its new owner. The sale is professionally managed by Sunbelt Bonaire Real Estate, and you can find more information on their page.
To ensure the high quality and appearance of Park Ayo, a Homeowners Association (HOA) is being established. This ensures an environment that is always in top condition, without you having to worry about it.
